About Us
Greencastle Technology was founded in 2005 by Dr. David R. Wallace, a software industry veteran.
His vision was to build on the principle of tracking software applications at the lowest level of the computer system,
in the “hairline” between software and hardware.
The result is a totally new way of protecting an application
— Vulnerability Shielding.
Shielding immediately detects foreign software components, such as malware, trying to enter a system through a vulnerability hole, and blocks them from running.
Once installed, there are no patterns or signatures to update or maintain and no file scanning is needed.
Furthermore, there is no need for emergency patches since all malware is blocked from executing.
Greencastle Vulnerability Shielding provides instant protection for vulnerable applications -- allowing you to wait for a new application release that contains tested vulnerability patches.
